A Day of Fun With the Miami Heat

The day started at the exclusive La Gorge Country Club on Miami Beach where +HUBLOT presented the Ray of Hope Luncheon in conjunction with the +Ray Allen Golf Classic. Last season, NBA All Star +Ray Allen made the defining shot that helped the +Miami HEAT win the 2013 NBA Championship. +Ray Allen spends his time off the court teamed up with his beautiful wife Shannon and friends to help their son Walker and others like him in their challenge with insulin shots by supporting cure-focused diabetes research.

The lady's luncheon was spiked with high heels and a silent auction that had your mouth watering for all kinds of designer bags. Gabrielle Union finance of +Dwyane Wade and Adrienne Williams Bosh, the wife of +Chris Bosh were among the ladies in the house. Before the meal, Birdman was the appetizer. Miami Heat Forward, Chris Andersen, a/k/a Birdman was captivated by a flood of women who he patiently and graciously allowed to take pictures for nearly thirty minutes. The sophisticated ladies went for him with all fours.

Outside, +Miami HEAT players were sprinkled throughout the golf course. Sightings were made around the grill and at the photo booth.

+Miami HEAT's +LeBron James tried to tip in incognito but how can you hide a Ferrari.
Rashard Lewis and +Chris Bosh cruised around the course competing for the trophy that looked a lot like the NBA Championship trophy. Sorry, but they couldn't compete with +Alonzo Mourning who was serious. "Don't bother me, I'm golfing."

As the day disappeared the night came to life over on South Beach were +Shane Battier's +Take Charge! Foundation held its Battioke (www.battioke.com). Roger Mason, Jr.'s charisma captivated the media as he strolled across the red carpet. +Chris Bosh won last year's Battioke, but this year +Miami HEAT guard James Jones was the featured artist and leading contender.

On Sunday night +Pharrell Williams walked away with a well-deserved Grammy for his song, Happy. However, on Monday night at Battioke the Grammy winner waslikely to be James Jones who sings as well as he plays basketball. It has been awhile since I have enjoyed a concert like that.

Norris Cole came on the stage just like he does on the basketball court, speeding straight up the middle. Front and center "Cole Train" raptures you with his rapping. +LeBron James and +Dwyane Wade were on the stage doing what they do on the court, supporting their teammates.  They joined in with the Heat's newest member, Tony Walker to give Walker a warm welcome and make him feel right at home.

The iridescent glitter on +LeBron James' shoes as he sang "Back that A__ up" gave such a sparkle into the galaxies that even ET would not want to go home. +Michael Beasley threw in some chords and some moves that made you want to jump out of your seat, screaming.

+Sun Sports announcer +Jason Jackson was the MC for the evening so he had to maintain his composure but at one point, +LeBron James' rendition of Back that A_ up had +Jason Jackson backing up and cutting a few moves.

+Chris Bosh said he likes to touch the people and he did just that. As the reigning winner, the people selected what song they wanted him to sing. When told to vote, +Chris Bosh touched 57, 000 people who voted for him to sing, "It's not unusual."

On the +Red Carpet when asked by the media if he thought he would win, Pat Riley said he would stick to what he does best, coaching. But, let me tell you when he got up on that stage and Marvin Gaye's music started playing, you could feel a sexual healing coming on.

The guys were good, but the highlight of the night was the girls' night out. Spouses and girlfriends of Heat players teamed up and became serious contenders for the trophy. Lined across the stage they performed She Got Butt... and she did!

At one end of the line-up was +Dwyane Wade's beautiful and talented finance, Gabrielle Union singing and dancing and at the other end of the stage was +LeBron James' wife +Savannah Brinson James. Other beauties, including Adrienne Bosh were sprinkled in the middle all dancing, entertaining and having fun. During that performance a diamond in the rough was discovered.

Hey Brandy, you better look out Savannah Brinson James has got it going on. Very unassuming and shy looking, she held her man's arm and stayed close to his side across the red carpet. Then she stepped on the stage and transformed. She has a natural style of just "being." What you see is what you get. She doesn't need make up or accessories to make her who she is. She is naturally "happy." At one point while singing and dancing she was laughing so hard she bent down and came back up transforming you with laughter. Now, if I was looking for someone to transform a movie or music video from sleepy into electrifying, I would be banging at her door. You go girl!
